It is the Playtiles series by Donata Clovis that opens the entire project, a tribute to the artist who passed away in 2016. The series consists of a collection of 100 small-format autobiographical photographs: shots stolen from community life in the places crossed by the photographer from Como. His photographic research testifies to a personal inner discomfort reflected in society. Her shots are very real and sharp, able to convey emotions from very personal angles. Playtiles, is a selection of on the road, portraits and personal images, a mosaic that, beyond the intrinsic visual nature, becomes a verbal tale.

È la serie Playtiles di Donata Clovis che apre l’intero progetto, un tributo all’artista scomparsa nel 2016. La serie si compone di una raccolta di 100 fotografie autobiografiche di piccolo formato: scatti rubati alla vita comunitaria nei luoghi attraversati dalla fotografa comasca. La sua ricerca fotografica testimonia un disagio interiore personale riflesso nella società, i suoi scatti sono molto reali e nitidi, in grado di trasmettere emozioni da angolazioni molto personali. Playtiles, è una selezione di on the road, ritratti e immagini personali, un mosaico che oltre l’intrinseca natura visiva divengono racconto verbale.

Donatella Izzo‘s style is restless, symbolic, entrusted to a composed technique that creates images metamorphic. (NO) Portraits is a series of female figures that stems from the desire to investigate the portrait as a figurative genre, placing it in antithesis with the classic concept of portrait understood as a “copy”, revisited as an “anti-portrait”. The woman is at the center of Donatella Izzo’s research, the series is configured as a tribute to women victims of violence and as an appeal to respect for themselves.

Lo stile di Donatella Izzo è inquieto, simbolico, affidato a una tecnica composta che crea immagini metamorfiche. (NO) Portraits è una serie di figure femminili che nasce dalla volontà di indagare il ritratto come genere figurativo ponendolo in antitesi con il concetto classico di ritratto inteso come “copia”, rivisitato come “anti-ritratto”. La donna è al centro della ricerca di Donatella Izzo, la serie si configura come un omaggio alle donne vittime di violenza e come un appello al rispetto di se stesse.

Federica Angelino‘s photography documents situations taken from real life presented through a very vivid documentary perspective. Midtown, within this project, is the photograph that represents it: a macro image of made-up eyes that wants to reflect on the everyday sphere in the interaction with “each other and diversity”. Angelino’s artistic identity is centered on the intimacy of the body and on the anthropological research of cultures. His art is inspired by the marginal aspects of urban and suburban cones with a strongly social intent.

La fotografia di Federica Angelino documenta situazioni prese dalla vita reali presentate attraverso una prospettiva documentaristica molto vivida. Midtown, all’interno di questo progetto, è la fotografia che la rappresenta: un’immagine macro di occhi truccati che vuole riflettere sulla sfera quotidiana nell’interazione con “l’altro e la diversità”. L’identità artistica di Angelino è incentrata sull’intimità del corpo e sulla ricerca antropologica delle culture. La sua artistica trae ispirazione dagli aspetti marginali dei coni urbani e suburbani con un intento fortemente sociale.

The balance is what influences the aesthetics and the photographic work of Dario Zucchi: emotional discretion, balance in the composition, color, light and shadow. The artist is a real “urban predator” who, armed with a camera, identifies, follows and immortalizes the subjects who most interested him. L’artista è un vero e proprio “predatore urbano” che, armato di macchina fotografica, individua, segue e immortala i soggetti che più lo ispirano. Sono in particolare i visitatori dei musei ad attrarre la sua attenzione, soprattutto quando, forse per inconscia sintonia, il loro aspetto fisico e il loro abbigliamento si fondono armonicamente con le opere d’arte che stanno ammirando. Separando alcuni dettagli della tela e dei vestimenti, il fotografo mette in risalto la sovrapposizione fra illusione e realtà̀, arte e vita. Il confronto fra le opere d’arte e chi le osserva è al centro degli interessi visivi di Zucchi: la vista delle sue opere genera un inatteso sorriso, destando la percezione della creatività e illuminante felicità degli accostamenti, ma solo dopo un’attenta riflessione possiamo cogliere la complessità̀ visuale che regola la composizione di ogni foto.

Il Cluster degli artisti si chiude con Floris Andrea fotografo olandese naturalizzato italiano. Il suo bianco e nero seduce ogni tipo di materiale, quasi a rivelare i loro desideri segreti. Floris riproduce la realtà, i suoi scatti sono il risultato di una amorevole coesione con la natura e le sue stagioni.
Le persone che ritrae si fondono con il mondo magico, silenzioso, incantato essenza di se stesso e della sua vita.
